Welcome! I'm Robert Killips.

I have been a photojournalist for over 30 years and I have a passion for documentary and visual storytelling.

For me it started when I was in the Navy in the early 1970's as a medic working in a teaching hospital where the doctors needed photos to document their work. I used their cameras loaded with slide film at first, and with some encouragement I soon bought my own gear. But it wasn't until I began developing film and making B&W prints that I became forever hooked. Watching those images appear in the developer was just magical to me and I remember those days well.

366 Project

The Lansing State Journal featured my 366 Project and selected 12 photos spanning across the entire project for the feature, which can be seen below. Click here to see the full gallery.
